New York City is at a Crossroads.
The coming election will determine the City’s fate — not just for now, but for future generations.
The question is: Who is the mayor for this moment? Who has the experience, the track record of accomplishments, and the capability to tackle the tough problems facing the City?
There is only one answer - Andrew Cuomo – and Fix The City is committed to seeing him elected to City Hall.
We need an effective leader who understands how government works and how to get things done.
Whether tackling the city’s affordability crisis or ensuring that job-creating businesses are welcome in all five boroughs, New Yorkers need a mayor who understands HOW to be mayor and isn’t afraid to make tough choices. And New Yorkers need a mayor who will not hide from the chaos that has become too familiar, a mayor who can restore the Big Apple to its rightful place as the world’s greatest city and the most livable city in America. Fix the City’s board, supporters, and funders believe that the hard-working people of New York need a mayor who is ready and able to go to work for them on Day One.
Andrew Cuomo is that mayor. A mayor for this moment. A mayor who will fight for all New Yorkers.
Who is Fix the City, Inc.?
Fix the City, Inc., is an independent expenditure committee (IE) organized under New York law. Under the current election structure in New York City, mayoral campaigns that accept public funding are limited in terms of the contributions they may accept and limited in how much the campaign may spend. Accordingly, IEs have come to play an important role in citywide elections. Although IEs cannot coordinate their activities with a candidate or a campaign, they are permitted by law to support the election of a particular candidate and work to bring about the candidate’s success on Election Day. Fix the City has declared its intention of supporting Andrew M. Cuomo for mayor and will work throughout this campaign to secure his election.
What May I Contribute?
There are no contribution limits, and those “doing business” with New York City are not prohibited from contributing. Individuals, corporations, LLCs, LPs and other entities are permitted to contribute. Contributions are publicly disclosed.
